OneRepublic are an American pop rock band formed in Colorado Springs in 2002 by singer and songwriter Ryan Tedder with Zach Filkins. After building a following on MySpace, they signed to Timbaland’s label and became one of pop’s steadiest hitmakers.
Apologize
Their 2007 debut Dreaming Out Loud broke through on a Timbaland remix of “Apologize”, which reached number two and set airplay records. “Stop and Stare” followed.
Counting Stars
Waking Up (2009) brought “All the Right Moves”, “Secrets” and “Good Life”. Native (2013) became their highest-charting album and produced “Counting Stars”, a Diamond-certified number two hit, along with “Love Runs Out” and “I Lived”.
Later hits
Human (2021) carried “I Ain’t Worried” from Top Gun: Maverick. They worked with Kygo on “Stranger Things” and with David Guetta on “I Don’t Wanna Wait”.
Ryan Tedder’s other work
Beyond the band, Tedder is one of pop’s most in-demand songwriters, with credits for Beyonce, Adele, Taylor Swift and Maroon 5, and three Album of the Year Grammys.
