Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter spent years as a working actress and singer before 2024 turned her into one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Born Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter on May 11, 1999, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, she grew up on the Disney Channel and released album after album before her breakthrough. Disney and the early albums

Carpenter started posting YouTube covers around age ten and signed with Hollywood Records as a young teenager. She played Maya Hart on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World from 2014 to 2017 while putting out music, including the albums Eyes Wide Open and EVOLution.

After signing to Island Records in 2021, she released Emails I Can’t Send in 2022, a more personal record built around her father’s infidelity. Its singles “Nonsense” and “Feather” went multi-platinum and hinted at the cheeky, confident persona that would define her next chapter.

Opening for Taylor Swift

A major turn came when Taylor Swift picked Carpenter to open shows on the Eras Tour across South America, Australia and Asia in 2023 and 2024. The slot put her in front of enormous crowds and set up her own moment, which arrived just after her last Eras date.

Short n’ Sweet

“Espresso” dropped a day before her Coachella debut in April 2024 and took over the summer. “Please Please Please” became her first number one, and “Taste” made her the first act since the Beatles to chart their first three top-five hits in a single week. The album Short n’ Sweet topped the Billboard 200, and at the 2025 Grammys it won Best Pop Vocal Album while “Espresso” won Best Pop Solo Performance, her first two wins.

Man’s Best Friend

Rather than coast, Carpenter returned in 2025 with Man’s Best Friend, led by the number-one single “Manchild”. The album debuted at the top of the chart and drew both praise and debate for its blunt, playful take on sex and relationships. She also turned up on the title track of Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl.
