Normani is an R&B singer and dancer who built a solo career on sharp vocals and showstopping choreography. Born Normani Kordei Hamilton on May 31, 1996, in Atlanta and raised in New Orleans, she first found fame as one fifth of the girl group Fifth Harmony.
From Fifth Harmony to solo
Fifth Harmony, which she formed on The X Factor alongside Camila Cabello and three others, became one of the best-selling girl groups before going on hiatus in 2018. Normani launched her solo run that same year.

Her debut single “Love Lies” with Khalid reached the top ten and went five-times platinum. “Dancing with a Stranger” with Sam Smith followed in 2019, becoming the most-played radio song in the world that year.
Motivation and Wild Side
Her first solo single “Motivation” (2019) showcased the dancing that became her signature. In 2021 she returned with “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B, which topped the R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart.
