Pink is an American singer known for rock-edged pop, a powerhouse voice and acrobatic live shows. Born Alecia Beth Moore on September 8, 1979, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, she started in Philadelphia clubs before launching one of pop’s most durable careers.

Lady Marmalade

After her R&B-leaning debut Can’t Take Me Home (2000), she joined Christina Aguilera, Mya and Lil’ Kim on “Lady Marmalade” for the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack, a number one that won her first Grammy.

Going rock

Missundaztood (2001) reshaped her sound toward pop rock and sold more than thirteen million copies, with “Get the Party Started”, “Don’t Let Me Get Me” and “Just Like a Pill”. Try This (2003) won her a Grammy for “Trouble”.

Chart-toppers

Funhouse (2008) brought the number-one “So What”, and “Raise Your Glass” gave her another. “Just Give Me a Reason”, a duet with Nate Ruess, topped the chart in 2013. She also appeared on Eminem‘s “Won’t Back Down”.

A lasting career

Beautiful Trauma (2017) carried “What About Us”, and Trustfall (2023) featured “Dreaming” with Marshmello and Sting. Pink has sold more than 135 million records and won three Grammy Awards.
