Zedd is a German record producer and DJ, born Anton Zaslavski in Russia in 1989 and raised in Kaiserslautern. A classically trained musician, he became one of EDM’s biggest pop crossover producers.
Clarity
His 2012 single “Clarity”, featuring Foxes, reached the Hot 100 top ten and won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. His debut album of the same name also brought “Spectrum” and “Stay the Night” with Hayley Williams.
Pop collaborations
He hit number four with “Break Free” alongside Ariana Grande in 2014, then released “I Want You to Know” with Selena Gomez, co-written with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.
The Middle
“Stay” with Alessia Cara (2017) and “The Middle” with Maren Morris and Grey (2018) became radio staples, the latter reaching number five.
More work
He also released “True Colors” with Kesha and produced and co-wrote for artists including Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
